Wish you were here.....

I know what you are thinking....where are the photos of Taylor? Don't worry we didn't forget about her, she was way too busy jumping in the ocean to stand still for photos. So we will take some more tomorrow night, if we can tie her down first. I'll leave you with a sunset photo.

Dylan LOVES these teeth

Exploring our new neighborhood

After the pool party, we went exploring and found a wonderful park right by our house.

Our Hillbilly Hosts

These teeth were GREAT!!!! I haven't laughed like this in a long time. If you are ever feeling down....get some of those teeth and get you friends and family to put them on. You will PEE your pants!!! Just like I did

Sweet Hillbilly Kids

The kids even got into it, except Taylor she was having no part of the hillbilly teeth. So sorry but Taylor will no be pictured here. But her cousin Ella will stand in for her.

Sweet Hillbilly Boys

Danika brought all these hillbilly teeth over, so of course we all had some fun with those.

Pool Party Minus the Pool

We were invited over for a pool party at Allen & Shelley's house (Danika's parents) on Sunday. It wasn't warm enough to go swimming in the pool, but they have an amazing backyard so the kids still had a wonderful time.

The Sweet Family

We decided to check out the new Rec Center. Kids can't wait to go swimming and try the awesome water slide. Then we decided to walk over to the girls new school and on the way there found a 1km Trail that looked interesting. Taylor saw a bunny go into the woods so of course she wanted to go after the bunny....we never found that bunny but we still had fun. A rainy day full of nothing much, but still fun.

All ready....

Woke up to rain.....What are we going to do today???

Date Night

Last night Trent and I had "Date Night". We went into Victoria had a wonderful dinner and then walked around downtown Victoria. It was really nice just hanging out with each other with no kids to worry about. Here's to many more date nights in our future.
Every Thursday night for the summer, the town of Sidney shuts down part of Beacon and lets vendors sell their goods. It's called The Sidney Market and it really is a nice way to spend a Thursday evening. The kids really liked this band. They have tambourines and maracas for the kids to pick up and join in.

Another New Friends

Kids found this snail today. I have never seen a snail with such a big shell in my life. I don't know if I just didn't get out much as a kid or what.

MEET GEORGE

His name is George and he is a Banana Slug. Kinda gross, but kinda cute, in a slimy kind of way. I made them all touch him. When you touch him his little antenna's go inside his body, and he gets smaller. Something we didn't have in Calgary, and something I have never seen before. Have you?

Playing school in the Bathtub

I went looking for the girls after I got off the phone and I found them playing in the bathtub. Wow I think we really need some furniture!!!!!

Dylan reading MY book on MY new chair

We went to Costco the other day and I saw this chaise that I thought would be perfect for the sun room that is attached to our master bedroom. So after convincing Trent that we really need it we went back 2 days later to get it. Everyone LOVES it!!! I don't know if they love it because it is mine or because it is the only real furniture we have in the house besides the kitchen table.

Beyond Surfaces Tile and Stone Gallery

We decided to move to Victoria for many reasons. One of them was because Trent was given a wonderful opportunity we just couldn't say no to. He has opened his own tile shop with a twist. It is like an art gallery. People walk in and their only words out of their mouth is WOW!!! I know it will be a successful business. We are proud of you Trent!!! So after months and months of hard work it is now open for business. Here are some photos....

WORDS TO LIVE BY.....

My Shower Boy

This house has a glassed in shower, which we didn't have before. Everyone is loving it, especially Dylan. At the end of my showers Dylan will appear out of nowhere to clean all the water off the glass. I now have my very own shower boy!!!!

Our little Devil

Dylan picked out the devil face himself....I have never felt prouder!!!!

Our Beautiful Girls

We took the kids to The Strawberry Festival which was held at Beaver Lake (right by Elk Lake) They had a fantastic time so many things to do and see. There was a live band, pony rides, pirate school, inflatable castles, face painting, and of course strawberries and ice cream. It was a wonderful way to spend a lazy Sunday.

Dylan driving his quad up the driveway

The driveway of our new house isn't like driveways in Calgary. It takes at least 10-15 mins to walk to the end of it to the main road. We went for a walk after dinner the other night and Baba said she feels like she is camping when she comes out here. It really is like a secret hide-a-way for our family. It is so quiet and peaceful out here, that the kids will sleep to 9:30. They would never do that in Calgary!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COHEN!!!!

Baba & her Grandkids

July 7th was Evan's 2nd Birthday. So we went over to Uncle Chris & Auntie Danika's house for dinner and birthday celebrations. We had a wonderful time. Thanks for supper Chris. You really are a good cook.

R I P Ruby

This is Ruby's final resting place.....

Jessica really wanted these frogs she saw, but they were $40.00. Trent & I thought maybe she should earn them. So we got a chore chart and she earned them. She loves those frogs. Max and Ruby even made the trip out to Victoria with us as well as Taylor's fish Watermelon.

On Wednesday we were feeding them and Jessica noticed that Max would not get off Ruby. Ruby was trying to get away from Max but she couldn't....a few hours later she did finally get away...a few hours after that she was floating upside down...DEAD!!!!
