Beacon Hill Park

No trip to Victoria is complete without going to Beacon Hill Park. Walking around the gardens, feeding the ducks (which you are not suppose to do....oops), going to Beacon Hill Park petting zoo, watering can water park, playground for the kids, etc. We had a great time doing all those things except the water park we saved that for another day.

Fun Times in Parksville BC

We still had so much fun in Parksville. So much to do there. We played in the tide pools and collected a ton of sand dollars. Played at the water park which the kids loved. And ate some delicious ice-cream.

Bye Bye Sandcastles

On August the 15th we drove down to Parksville to see the sandcastles....but when we got there all we saw was a bobcat squishing the sandcastles and dumping the sand into a dump truck. Dylan was very disappointed. I guess next year we will make sure to go see the sandcastles before the 15th.

Having ice-cream with Grandma at Matticks Farm in Cordova Bay

We got back to Victoria and my Mom came to visit the very next day for 8 days. We were so happy to have her with us....especially me since she helped me unpack all my boxes and organize my house just the way I wanted it. Thanks Mom you are the BEST!!!!

Don't worry I didn't keep her inside working the whole time, we did a ton of fun things. First day she was here we just hung down at the beach and played with the kids. Me and the kids even got a boat ride from our neighbours..... mom stayed at the beach reading. Enjoying some quiet time.

Packed up all of our stuff....we have so much stuff, and headed back to Victoria. Kids all took a turn driving in the U-Haul with Dad. Highlight of their trip driving in the front seat with Daddy. I drove the whole way in the truck, never drove the whole way before Trent always drives. We all made it without any problems. Except Dylan puked all over his blanket 10 minutes before we got to the hotel the first night. Nothing a Laundromat can't fix.
